Overall rating: 4.6 / 5 from 388 reviews.
Always loved Acogs, so was super curious about these. My one and only complaint is the eye relief. Something just feels off with it. Almost like you have to be off centered to get the whole sight picture.
Other than that small detail, it seems rugged, walked it right in at 50yds, and it looks great!! Have put around 100 55grains down range and it’s held its zero so far!
Great optic at a wonderful price. Fast to acquire sight picture. I have 8 Saturn optics and will get more. You get a lot of bang for your buck with Cosmic Tactical Optics
Figment to the quick release mount was great. The latch on the mount is a bit loose but no issues securing the optic to my rifle! I love the clarity and overall look of the Saturn!
The biggest complaint I have is, the reticle is way left, the first one I ordered had to send back, because when sighted in the reticle was way left, and a weird D shaped image on the right like a refraction, the replacement came, a bit better but reticle still on the left side quiet a bit, love how clear it is and just don’t want to wait for another one, thinking of getting a trijicon acog now instead
With this optic, you can not miss. It is extremely fast to get on target. Quality optic at a good price. Lots of bang for your buck. I have 6 and will buy more. It is great for CQB and distance. I got 1 for my 308 also. Highly recommend.
Negatives First, Then Positives;
- Pretty lame that it doesn’t come with the silicon covers. Having to pay about $30 extra the keep the lens of a $300 optic clean is quite annoying
- Point of aim was so far off out of the box that rounds were hitting 6 feet right at 15 yards
- Awful eye relief, unusable when more than 5 inches from your face
- “Assembled in Texas”, but definitely Chinese parts
- Now that it is finally sighted in, it has managed to hold its zero after 265 rounds. Seems stable and tight, so far seems like solid construction
- Top mounted picatinny will be great for adding a dot on top
- Does the job I need it to and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to do it
Unfortunately my Scope came with a deep scratch on it. I emailed customer support to exchange it for another one, but I haven't heard back from them yet. Update...customer service reached out to me and they are replacing my scope. These guys are Awesome! Not only do they have a great product, they also have Outstanding customer service!
4.9 realistically
Great scope
Eye relief…..if there is a way to fix that to get it to 3.5 inches (lol) while maintaining its affordability we are cooking
I would like to send it back but that seems to be an impossible task. The eye relief is super short and the bullet drop compensator seems to be misaligned. The chevron is too small and it can not be shot with both eyes open for short/quick target acquisition. It looks cool but I have a hard time believing it is an actual optic for real guns and not an airsoft knock off
The scope itself is OK.
The GOOD: It holds Zero well. I like the green A apex it really helps me get in tight. It's bright and all when it's light out. Shipping was fast.
The Bad: It should be 5X and the eye relief is terrible. I took a couple bumps to the nose when shooting the AR15. It arrived poorly packaged in a white bag type package. UPS had somehow (as always) mishandled it and the bag was opened and the silicone end caps and the diffuser I bought with it were missing. Customer service took days to respond. I finally did get the missing items. (good job)
It begs the question "Would I buy another" The answer is NO to possibly. If it stays the way it is now I would not purchase another. If as a bare minimum they made the eye relief 2X better AND included at the bare minimum the silicone covers then I would definitely consider purchasing another for my other platforms. That is a big IF though.
Final thoughts. I have astigmatism and the fiberoptic A Apex is the way to go with an etched scope. I can see everything clearly. If I could put my eye 3-4 inches back and see clearly then Yes I would consider another and add a 5X version as well.
Just one users opinion.
Amazing optic! I absolutely love it and a great price point.
I ordered 2 accidentally, and emailed Cosmic to help resolve the issue. They responded in a timely manner and resolved it flawlessly.
Thank you guys!
Love the red optics. Had to use the riser. Simple addition to the rail and scope. Bore sighted scope. Hitting target nicely. Will be getting a red dot soon for the top rail.
Well I love how it sits and looks, went out to the range yesterday to get it sighted in
And the green dot through the fiber optic cable quit working
Will not come back
So I just plan on buying a red dot for sights
Outside of that
I love the optic.
Feels well made, decent weight ,love the look ,glass is clear and seems to hold zero well.the only question I have is how durable it will be but only time will tell
Fantastic piece of equipment, made even better by the affordability of the piggyback bundle. Would like round caps for the adjustment dials so you don't have to take the RMR off to zero but that's neither here nor there IMO.
Very impressed with this optics at the price point. Played hell getting it sited in. The optic wasn't tight on the base and I didn't notice it right away. My fault not noticing sooner, but QC needs to step up its game. That's the only reason for the 4. Really happy with it otherwise. The red dot is excellent. Zeroed in easy and is very clear.
I'm really happy with the quality and the weight. The glass is crystal clear and I can read the reticle very well. Seems as though it should take some abuse if needed. Hopefully, not. But one never knows.
Only giving 4 stars because of the eye relief is a little lacking. Not what im used to but with a quick butt stock adjustment its fine. Those who are concerned about the eye relief being too close and scared of it hitting their faces, sounds like a skill issue. 😂Not once was I worried about it, especially with a 5.56.
Nice solid clicks when adjusting for zero so its easy to count. Glass is great quality, and holds zero just as well as the ultra expensive brands.
The fiber optic is definitely less vibrant than tritium, but does well for me due to my astigmatism, so I dont get that 'Starburst' effect.
Overall its a great sight for the money. Give it a shot, you can always return it 🤷♂️
